NEU (NO EXCUSES UNIVERSITY) is really the philosophy and approach taken that has evolved for our students, staff, and community.
Describe your philosophy of school change or improvement.
If there is a need to change staff must take ownership of the changes to be made. Improvement starts with looking at the "live data" and making informed decisions to sustain efforts towards improvement. All staff must be a part of the change process, including teachers, classified, support staff.

NO EXCUSES UNIVERSITY and teaching to standards, as well as curriculum pacing. We spend a great deal of time analyzing and focusing on the standards.

We look at baseline data, quarterly data, RTI math and reading data, Title I data, and resource data to adjust student groups, change instructional delivery, and adjust groupings as needed.

Our culture is built around NO EXCUSES UNIVERSITY and that every single student can learn. Our mission statement "every student without excuse and without exception will be proficient in reading, language, and math. This is our daily message and we adhere to it. Our staff hold each other accountable, data is transparent, and we provide extending learning opportunities for our students. I've supported and continue to learn with my staff.
