Title I funds have provided for parent nights and homework backpacks. Title I funds have paid for a reading teacher and para educators to provide tier 2 intervention for small reading groups. Title I1 funds have also provided transportation and a teacher + 2 para educators to extend Kindergarten for our most struggling half day kindergarten students. These students get an extra 1.5 hours of intense small group targeted instruction to improve their reading and math skills.

Natural Leaders - Parents who speak another language reach out to new families, plan events, volunteer and advocate for the needs of their students.

Provide food, transportation, and interpreters for events.

Make personal phone calls to invite families in their language.

Hold grade level musical showcases so that every student has a chance to perform during the day and evening and invite all families to attend

Believing in each child, being positive, having a high level of trust and collaboration by the staff, having high expectations of every students, engaging the parents in their child’s education, and creating a systematic approach of providing interventions for struggling students.

Grade levels meet monthly in PLC groups and every six weeks in RtI teams to discuss data and decide on interventions. Specialists attend these meetings and provide wrap around support for students needing interventions.
