Our school's culture is collegial, responsive and vibrant. We provide our teachers with opportunities to meet during the school day and outside of this time. In addition our grade level teams work together to ensure that they are providing each student with a quality experience. The administration supports teacher growth and encourages collegiality through various programs we have in place.

- Our parents are involved with the Home and School Association, as volunteers and during a variety of family programs we conduct throughout the school year. In addition our Home and School President sits on the district’s committte as an active member.

Our most successful activitye we has initiated to strenghten the ties we have with our community is our Black History Celebration. During this event we connect to all school members, churches and business folks to particpate.

- Our philosophy of school change is that we place the students first and as the basis of our work. We participate positively and colleagial to discuss data, resolve problems, to take on challenges in a collaborative and collective way.
- What are your school’s top two goals for the next year?
- Our school’s top two goals is continue to work to enhance the skills of teachers and learning for our students.
- What is the single most important factor in the success of your school that others could replicate?
- Via our Success Network Model: Using school improvement strategies to guide the implementation of successful data analysis that drove instructional decisions in determining to use our core mathematics program for all students.
- Describe the program or initiative that has had the greatest positive effect on student achievement.
- We utilized Everyday Math as our core math program for our students and Number Worlds as a supplemental program to support their learning.
- Explain how Title I funds have supported your improvement efforts.
- We allocated Title I funds toward providing professional development for teachers, hiring two instructional coaches, who provided instructional support for teachers and we provided extended learning opportunities for students.
- Identify the professional development activities you use to improve the teaching portion of the teaching and learning process.
- We provided three years of customized job embedded Everyday Math professional development for all staff. This training was customized as per the needs of each partiicpant. In addition, the consultants provided in classroom support and arranged for staff to watch each other teach. This helped to enhanced their instructional practices and their committment to the fidelity of this curriculum.
- Describe how data is used to improve student achievement and inform decision making.
- At Park Lane School grade level teams collaborate to review and analyze various forms of data that informed their instructional decisions. A half an hour block of time is dedicated each day for collaboration and common planning time built into the school day support these efforts, too.

- Our school’s culture is colleagial, responsive and vibrant. We provided our teachers with opportunities to meet during the school day and outside of this time. In addition our grade level teams work together to ensure that they are providing each student with a quality experience. The administration supports teacher growth and encourages collegiality through various programs we have in place. Our Home and School Assoication is our connection to our parents and assist us in conducting a variety of activities for our parents to participate in throughout the school year. Our student have opporunities to develop leadership and academic skills through our Student Council, Leadership Club and during extended learning programs.
