Work smarter not harder. Look at data and have that drive the work that we do! Every child has an IEP, that is our philosophy.

Working though our newly revised Reading and Writing ELA Units, and working on Growth Mindset with out students
What is the single most important factor in the success of your school that others could replicate?
Create functioning PLC's that are trained to looking at and analyze student data
Describe the program or initiative that has had the greatest positive effect on student achievement, including closing achievement or opportunity gaps, if applicable.
Our move to Co-Teaching at each grade level has made the biggest impact. Secondly, standards based instruction has also made a tremendous impact. Giving the teachers the time to actually learn what the standards are asking, then be able to specifically teach them.
Explain how Title I funds are used to support your improvement efforts.
We are using the funds to take the team to Philly, I feel that education is the key and I want to continue to educate my teachers so that they can turn key the knowledge gained from the conference to their colleagues, then to our students community.
Identify the critical professional development activities you use to improve teaching and student learning.
Time to discuss student work, looking at standards, unpacking the standards and working on how a true PLC runs. Running a true PLC where teachers feel comfortable sharing and asking for support takes time.
Describe how data is used to improve student achievement and inform decision making.
We use data every day! Our teachers have weekly PLC meting where data is analyzed. We have 3 1/2 day data meetings each school year where our grade level teams meet. We make all of our academic decisions based on data.
Describe your school culture and explain changes you’ve taken to improve it.
The climate and culture is at a high level. We have a SNAP program, and a Ride with Pride Program which is used on our buses to promote positive behavior. We have a strong student council program.
