The session will focus on the use of the 4 C’s of 21st-century learning: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity. Participants will experience problem-solving through collaborative learning while using various resources. Additionally, we will explore how to engage both in-person and virtual learning simultaneously. The workshop will use resources that address a variety of learning styles. I will use problems that provide a number of entry points to get started on a solution path. Participants will use various methods to solve the same problem. That's where the value of collaboration comes in. As they solve the problems, we will hear report outs from selected groups. They will not just see the math strategies that will be presented, but instead, they will get to experience them in a classroom format. I will also provide note-taking strategies such as graphic organizers. We will also see how graphing calculators help to both illuminate and simplify our work.
