Building Effective Schools by Design, Not by Chance
CANCELLED
The federal School Improvement Grant and others have provided an unprecedented opportunity to transform or turnaround low-performing schools. In the Clark County School District, it is believed that chronically failing schools can be turned around through bold, systemic change to reverse deeply embedded patterns of ineffective practice. This includes a clear focus on the success of all students and subgroups, including students with disabilities and English Language Learners. The Turnaround Zone has been established to provide support and facilitate venues for the implementation of research-based strategies proven to improve schools.
