Shana McIver is the Family Engagement Director for Baltimore City Public Schools. She has over 13 years of experience in education and human services as a teacher, Community School district leader and school coordinator, partnerships' manager, engagement policy specialist and other district support roles. Shana brings to the role a deep knowledge of her city and its' families. She is dedicated to ensuring parents feel welcomed at the school and district levels and have the information they need to support their children’s academic achievement and overall success. In her current role, Shana leads district level strategy for family and community engagement to ensure supports are linked to learning, culturally relevant and reflective if the unique needs of the school communities served.
