Distinguished Schools - Removing Barriers to Close Achievement Gaps

Lecture 1

We will discuss different ways we remove barriers to create an equal learning field for all students.  We will also talk about school culture and how every single staff member is a vital part of your school. We will discuss how we use PLC meetings and RTI meetings to target individual student instruction to help close achievement gaps.

Carrie Moore

Carrie Moore is our Family Resource Coordinator.  She has been with our district for 8 years.  She worked with Girl Scouts of Paducah for ten years.  She has a passion for our families and builds relationships that help remove barriers. 
Jennifer Scism

Jennifer Scism is a 2nd year Principal of Lone Oak Elementary.  She taught Art Kindergarten-6th Grade for ten years prior to becoming a Principal. She also worked in Fine Art Transportation and luxury sales for ten years.  Her business background brings unique management experience to being Principal.
