In 2016, Dr. Sherri Miller successfully defended her dissertation titled, "Highly Educated Navajo Women Who Pursue Their Careers Off the Navajo Reservation". Dr. Miller's presentation will describe how the historical events since Pre-colonization have impacted the roles of Navajo women. Being aware of Navajo women history will help you to understand the struggles Navajo children face today. Dr. Miller will showcase how her knowledge of Navajo women history have impacted the successes in her classroom.
