Leveraging Evidence-Based Practices to Promote School Improvement
University of Texas at Austin graduate and renowned school improvement expert Dr. Donyall D. Dickey will orient participants to a finite set of evidence-based instructional practices proven to aid educators in their effort to: (a) plan and deliver instruction aligned with nuanced expectations resident in standards, (b) ensure conceptual understanding of academic language, (c) build sturdy access bridges to complex texts and concepts across grades and disciplines, (d) redirect critical thinking, academic discourse, composition, and problem-solving to students, and (e) collect and methodically respond to individual and small group student data necessary to ensure expedited and sustained improvements in educator efficacy and student growth.
