Digital Tools Can Transform Teaching and Learning
In today’s global society, students have immediate access to knowledge and the ability to learn anywhere. School districts are investing more in 1:1 initiatives and digital learning opportunities. What really works to help teachers and students? What are the pitfalls? The Creighton District has insight to share from their long history leveraging instructional technology. In this session, attendees will learn how Creighton planned for an ongoing digital transition by first developing an instructional plan that took into account academic goals and objectives. An implementation plan that includes infrastructure needs and appropriate devices is also necessary. The final, but most important detail is ongoing, embedded professional development. The result? Devices end up being in the background and student engagement reaches new heights. Creighton District is transitioning to a new learning adventure, and we want to share what we’ve learned!
