Engaging in the Right Work: Sustaining Effective and Efficacious Leadership Teams

Meeting a checklist of requirements is manageable. Many times, that checklist is perceived as meaningless. So much talent is sitting around the table meeting a few times a month and unclear about their shared vision and purpose. Time may feel wasted and the system is stalled. We’ve all been there, asking ourselves, "Why are we meeting?" Could I have been informed of this information via email? This session will provide professionals the tools to dig deeper into the “how” of intentionally building the efficacy of the team, ensuring teams are engaging in the right work and explaining how the team can be used to monitor the implementation of the work.

As the Director of the Kansas Learning Network, Michele oversees the direct-intensive technical assistance provided to Comprehensive Support and Improvement Title I schools and districts in Kansas. Hayes is focused on bridging the “what” of requirements to the “why” and “how” of implementation.

Jessica Mossman serves as an Implementation Coach for the Kansas Learning Network providing comprehensive support to urban districts to ensure equity for all learners. Mossman values professional growth and is dedicated to innovative technology use to provide coaching and feedback to educators.
Kayla Preisner

Kayla is an expert in the school improvement process. Having worked as a district coach and now as a state level coach in Title I buildings, she brings the lens of “boot on the ground” experience to help leaders break down work into manageable chunks.
