Engaging Parents in Helping Young Children Develop Mathematical Thinking for STEM Fields
This presentation focuses on how schools can involve parents to be actively engaged in their child’s mathematics education. We will highlight the Primary Mathematics Assessment system that allows schools and parents to screen their students/children and diagnose them on six critical topics that predict success in STEM areas. In addition, we will present educational activities and games that interventionists, paraprofessionals and parents can play with the children.
