Your students' ability to self-regulate their behavior is the gateway to academic success. But providing comprehensive behavioral supports is complex and challenging work. This workshop introduces a "one-stop-shop" model known as the Student Support Center (SSC) that provides all three tiers of behavioral support in an easy to access, efficient and efficacious setting. The SSC is intentionally designed to replace suspension and focuses students on "Getting Some AIR-" Assessment, Intervention and Return to academics. You will learn the model's foundational practices and then engage in building an SSC that meets the needs of your home school. This workshop will demonstrate how a creative, affordable and positive approach to providing comprehensive behavioral supports can reduce disproportionate discipline practices and increase your students' availability for learning.
