How Title I, Part D Can Assist with Transition Needs of Children Who are System-Involved

Wednesday January 30, 2019
2:30 - 3:30 PM
Great Hall 3501 G

Children and youth who are system-involved (neglect and delinquency systems) often have significant gaps or delays in educational and coping skills. Supplemental Title I, Part D funds and the supports and services they fund can assist educators and parents in the delivery of needed programing that impact educational and social outcomes for this population in a positive manner. During the session participants will receive an overview of TIPD and the TA supports provided by the National Technical Assistance Center for the Education of Neglected and Delinquent Children and Youth (NDTAC). The presentation will include resources participants may utilize as they contemplate the transition needs of this special population as they move between the community and the facility.
