Policy Institute: How Events, Priorities, and Ideology Influence Federal Programs Breakout Session B

Saturday February 2, 2019
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Grand Ballroom 2501 B

In this session, attendees will explore how the factors explored earlier influence specific regulatory and administrative policies.  The session will also discuss how the speed of the regulatory process determines how these influences play out in regulations and what the administration can do to influence agency decision making and regulatory culture as a whole.  These topics will be explored through the lens of specific examples, including the fate of the now-rescinded supplement, not supplant regulations and the reversal on IDEA maintenance of effort policies.
