Karen served as a teacher, a school leader, and a district leader in Georgia's public schools for 30 years. Her service was across rural, urban, large and small districts. She has taught at the university level since 1984 with vast experience in educational leadership and most recently in the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration and Policy at the University of Georgia.
