Dr. Keisha Siriboe is the Director of Content and Programming at Reading is Fundamental, the nation's largest children's literacy non-profit whose mission is to ensure all children have the ability to read and succeed. Keisha is a passionate advocate of children’s literacy who is interested in bridging the digital divide around access and equity issues of the 21st century. Keisha is the first African American to earn an MA degree from Beijing Normal University in Beijing China, and in March 2019, she became the first African American to earn a Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong. Her research considers early childhood literacy, parent education, access, and equity issues within China and Hong Kong. Her published academic article “A parental perspective of school and familial curriculum making: a narrative inquiry of early childhood education planning in Hong Kong” received a 2018 Outstanding Publication award from the Narrative Inquiry SIG, American Educational Research Association (AERA). Where she served as the AERA Chair of the Graduate Student Council from 2016 – 2019. Globally, Keisha serves as a Student Advisor within the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and works to cultivate global student leadership within educational research and policy.
