Nathan has served as a local and state federal program administrator that is focused upon improving educational outcomes for students. He began as an English learner teacher, instructional coach, district administrator, and then a state program administrator. His varied experience has been informed by serving on Indiana's Early Learning Advisory Council, NAESPA's executive board, U.S. DOE's Coordination Workgroup, and the Interstate Migrant Education Council.
