Exploring the Frontier of Father and Family Engagement

Strong Fathers-Strong Families, LLC has worked with over 160,000 fathers and families on Title I campuses around the country. By using academic-based father engagement programs, Strong Fathers has engaged both mothers and fathers in the lives and education of children in all types of communities. Using research and over twelve years of practical experience, Strong Fathers now provides the best practices for grassroots, strength-based, outcome-focused programs to engage fathers and families. Through a proven set of academic programs, schools can simply and effectively engage parents from the most challenging backgrounds. Participants will learn effective tools that will equip them to reach more fathers in their family engagement efforts. Participants will also be provided with a set of materials that they can use with both staff and parents to increase the communication and rapport between campuses and families.

Michael Hall

J. Michael Hall, M.Ed. is the founder of Strong Fathers-Strong Families, he has presented to more than 160,000 fathers at local schools, Head Starts, as well as regional and national conferences. J. Michael has worked with over 240 schools and in over 36 states with Head Starts. He is a consistent presenter with the Texas Association of School Boards, Texas PTA, the National PTA, and the National Head Start Association. For his pioneering work over the past twelve years in education and the fatherhood field he was honored as a 2012 White House Champion of Change.
