Guidance and Tools to Maximize School Improvement Grants

Friday January 29, 2016
1:00 - 2:00 PM
General Assembly Theater B

School Improvement Grants (SIG) seek to turn around chronically low-performing schools. In order to reach success, these turnaround efforts must be systemic, well planned, and sustainable. The goal of this presentation is to share a toolkit developed by the Center on School Turnaround, a federally funded center at WestEd, on key strategies to maximize opportunities around the recently re-regulated School Improvement Grant (SIG) guidelines. This presentation will share strategies, timelines, and approaches for state, district, and school leaders that contribute to successful SIG implementation.
