This multimedia session provides evidence-based solutions and hands-on knowledge for improving your climate and culture around the challenge of increasing attendance, attitude and achievement. Dr. Kirton will share his research, evidenced-based strategies, and tools he has used to accumulate a more than 90% graduation rate for two decades, graduating 100% of his African American Males in 2012 and having a substantial positive impact on three elementary and one middle schools through a near peer mentoring concept. Dr. Kirton will share strategies to help you create and sustain a culture of student achievement and success, engaging all of your stakeholders. The session will focus on a comprehensive approach to school improvement for building and district level educators; topics include leadership and team building, innovative programs that engage, facilities and technology that inspire, and targeting your resources and grant writing to fill funding gaps.
