All educators shoulder the common imperative of our time—to prepare all students for college and career. Blended personalized learning—when powered by valid and reliable ‘diagnosis’ data—has the potential to accelerate growth across the RTI spectrum and afford equity and access for all learners, including those in under-resourced schools. This presentation will explore the blended environment for Title 1 students as a vehicle for systemic change, proven growth, and intervention that advances all students from striving to gifted by creating individualized learning paths and differentiated instruction support for teachers.

Elizabeth Bassford

Elizabeth Bassford works nationally for Curriculum Associates and all things Literacy, advising districts in their implementation of high standards and contributing to the development of standards-based curricula and professional development. Elizabeth speaks widely on bringing the shifts to life in the classroom, emphasizing the “verbs” of the new best practices for College and Career Readiness. Elizabeth contends that 2015 is the year we welcome writing home as a vehicle for high student engagement, collaboration, and joy. As an award-winning poet, Elizabeth has taught writing for over 25 years in both school and community settings.
