Merryl Goldberg is a well-known and widely published scholar on the power of arts education and arts integration, particularly with English language learners and effective professional development. In addition to being a professor and research at Cal State San Marcos, Dr. Goldberg is also a professional saxophonist and recording artist.

Caroline King is an expert school leader who has worked exclusively in Title I schools, most recently as the Principal of Zamorano Fine Arts Academy. Based on her great success at Zamorano, Ms. King was selected to lead the San Diego Learning Through the Arts Initiative, leading 22 schools over two years in a $3 million Title I district-wide pilot program.

Joe Landon is an expert advocate and thought leader around the role of arts education in education equity. He has been the Executive Director of the California Alliance for Arts Education since 2011, and has spearheaded a unique policy initiative to clarify and support the role of arts-based strategies in achieving Title I goals.

Laura Smyth is an experienced consultant, advocate, and advisor with over two decades of experience in the arts education field, including three years as Senior Associate at the Arts Education Partnership.
