OgStar Reading provides beginning and striving readers in grades K-8 with a foundational 106-lesson literacy game based on the Orton-Gillingham “Plus” approach. Students practice phonological awareness, systematic/synthetic phonics, multisensory sound/symbol associations, visual-auditory-kinesthetic-tactile reading and writing of irregular words. OgStar also includes oral reading of phonetically-controlled words and sentences, finger tracing and writing of syllables, words, and sentences, word building with prefixes and suffixes, and oral reading fluency. With our patented handwriting and speech recognition, OgStar gives students immediate corrective feedback via voiceover. This captivating reading adventure includes built-in mini-games and rewards for students. Data collection is available for teachers describing student performance, progress, and usage.
Districts are looking for ways to close literacy gaps while keeping students engaged. OgStar combines the science of reading with interactive, research-backed learning that empowers students and supports educators. Schedule time to explore how OgStar can fit into your literacy programs!
