Ms. Tennison has served as an English, ELD and AVID teacher for 10 years. She has held the position of EL coordinator since 2020 at Steele Canyon High School - a school located just miles from the US/Mexico border in San Diego County. In this role, she supervises a team of teachers and paraprofessionals who collaborate with staff to co-plan, co-deliver, and individualize instruction for all English Language Learners. Ms. Tennison also coordinates the programing of the grade-level experiences to improve school culture as a School Site Council Member.
