Dr. Robert Sormani
Dr. Robert Sormani began his education career in 1999 as a teacher at J. Frank Dobie Middle School in Austin ISD. Over the years, he transitioned to roles including assistant principal in Austin ISD and Round Rock ISD, and principal at Chisholm Trail Middle School in Round Rock ISD, where he served for nearly nine years. He then became Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Manor ISD, progressing to Superintendent in 2023 after serving as Associate Superintendent for Instruction and Innovation at Hutto ISD. Dr. Sormani holds three degrees from the University of Texas at Austin: a Doctorate in Educational Administration (2016), a Master's in Educational Administration (2006), and a Bachelor's in English with a minor in History (1997). He is certified to teach Secondary History and ELA, and holds a Superintendency Certificate. Married to Diana for almost 20 years, they have three children and share a passion for running, travel, and adventure. Originally from Houston, Dr. Sormani is thrilled to live near Diana's parents in Manor, while remaining close to his family in Houston.
