Centering Student Outcomes: Using Strategic Decision-Making to Maximize Results
This is a consequential time for educational agencies at all levels as they strive to determine the results of their investments, examine their priorities, and refocus their efforts on strategies that are working to support students with the greatest needs. To make sure this is done effectively, educational agencies need to have a strategic decision-making process. Strategic decision-making includes an analysis of investments using information related to student outcomes and available resources. The National Comprehensive Center will share a five-step decision-making process to support educational agencies as they make these tough decisions. Each step of the process includes factors to ensure access and opportunities for all and levers state educational agencies (SEAs) can use to implement the strategies with their local educational agencies (LEAs). Participants will also hear from an SEA/LEA about their strategic decision-making process and steps they took to implement the process.
