Thursday January 28, 2016
4:00 - 5:00 PM
General Assembly Theater C

School systems across the nation work to implement rigorous academic standards and prepare diverse learners for success both in the classroom and after graduation.  Students with disabilities have unique needs that require evidence-based supports and interventions in order to ensure access to college- and career-ready standards.  During this session, participants will hear about:

  • a new resource from the Department that will connect teachers and families with products and tools to assist them in improving instruction and supporting academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students with disabilities and struggling learners as they become college and career ready
  • State approaches to improving the outcomes of students with disabilities
