Virtually Unstoppable: Resilient Family and Community Engagement

Resilient, Connected, and Engaged! This session will discuss the benefits of continuous digital outreach - including the personalization of family learning, school improvement, and connecting with your community and beyond. Participants will take an interactive virtual tour highlighting our statewide Family-Friendly Partnership School Initiative, Family Engagement Month Contest, State Superintendent of School's Parent Advisory Council, and other innovative, creative programs and resources to improve communication and remain Virtually Unstoppable!

Speakers
Dawn Scott

Dawn Scott serves as a Family Engagement Specialist at the state level for the Georgia Department of Education. Dawn has a master’s degree in Educational Technology from Georgia College and State University. She uses this degree to create several multimedia projects for educational use. She leads several initiatives such as the Family-Friendly Partnership Schools Initiative, Family Engagement Month, and the Family Engagement Partners Video Channel. Dawn has presented at several national and statewide conferences, as well as created ready resources for our family engagement partners to use when communicating virtually with their families.
