Felipe Vasquez
Felipe Vasquez currently provides leadership and oversight to the Division of Student Programs, Data and Assessment of the Los Angeles County Office of Education. Under his guidance, the Division has implemented success measures for academic performance and pupil and family engagement in education. He has designed and developed standard operating procedures related to data, assessment and compliance in the areas of Local Control Accountability Plan, Title I, Federal Program Monitoring, and Office of Civil Rights Reporting; alignment of the LEA Plan to LCAP, Assessments, and WASC accreditation process. Under his leadership, the Los Angeles County Office of Education has complied with complex state and federal mandates, successfully obtained accreditation and reporting of accountability measures, and secured funding for the Division of Student Programs of the Los Angeles County of Education. He has created, developed and monitored the eight state priorities of the Local Control Accountability Plan and guided the Division’s activities in preparation for Federal Program Monitoring visits. He also worked to provide comprehensive reporting to the Office of Civil Rights as related to accountability, performance and service reviews. Felipe has devoted his professional life to serving at-risk populations in Los Angeles County as a teacher, principal, administrator and director.
