Kirk Shrum
Kirk Shrum is a career educator determined to ensure successful outcomes for all students. Currently, he serves as the Area Executive Director of Schools for the Central Learning Community in Fulton County supporting 18 schools serving 20,000 students. With an intense focus on support and accountability, he has increased both the academic performance and climate rating in 75% of the lowest performing schools in his community. Kirk is a member of the 2018 Principal Supervisor Academy developed by AASA and serves as a district shepherd as part of the University of Virginia Partners in School Leadership program focused on turnaround schools. He is a member of the Sandy Springs Education Force Board of Directors, and the Leadership Sandy Springs class of 2019. Prior to this role, Kirk served as a principal in Fulton County and in Chattanooga Tennessee.
