As an enthusiastic visionary leader with 20 years of educational experience Meta Rome has demonstrated the ability to lead, motivate, and direct both students & adults toward a shared goal while maintaining a high level of mutual respect and support. She is highly committed, with a strong passion for improving and supporting effective processes that highlight student progress and supports required shifts in instructional practices in an effort to guide students toward mastery of grade level standards. Mrs. Rome is dedicated to leading with HEART (High Expectations and Rigorous Expectations in Teaching) and ensuring that teachers have all that is needed to deliver instruction that is impactful, relevant and engaging. Meta taught in Title I schools at both the middle and high school levels and also in the diploma-based International Baccalaureate Program. She currently serves as a District Academic Coach that supports teaching and learning in 46 Title I schools that are a part of the second largest school district in Georgia. She describes herself as a self-motivated servant leader who truly believes in her department's vision that ALL students deserve equitable access to high quality educational experiences.
