Kara Friedel is the ESL Support Specialist for Chesterfield County Public Schools in Chesterfield, Virginia. She has taught ESL in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms for over 10 years. She is the ESL Professional Learning Specialist and the county SIOP trainer. She serves on the VATESOL Board, is a member of VESA, and is a member of WELV. She received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and her Administration & Supervision, Master’s of Education degree from the University of Virginia.
