Theresa Alonso
Theresa Alonso is a data driven education professional of 16 years with a strong desire to support teachers and students through effective and impactful positive changes. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and two Master's degrees in Middle Grades Math and Science Education and Education Leadership, along with a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Valdosta State University. With a strong foundation in data analysis and data-informed decision-making, Theresa brings a wealth of knowledge to her role and has been instrumental in leading Midway Elementary School to national recognition as a 2023 ESEA Distinguished School for Exceptional Student Performance and Academic Growth for two or more consecutive years. She also holds certifications in Gifted Education, Special Education, Dyslexia, and English Speakers of Other Languages as she embodies the spirit of a true life-long learner. Theresa's teaching experience spans across High School and Middle Grades as a general education and special education teacher, as well as a math interventionist. Currently, she serves as an Instructional Coach, lending her expertise to support excellence in elementary education. Theresa is driven by a deep sense of passion for continuous improvement and learning and is recognized for her creativity and unwavering support.
