Leti Peña has served as a teacher and administrator in Title I schools in AISD for 18 years. In her last 7 years as an administrator at John C. Blazier Elementary, she has supported and fostered a school environment that embraces diversity, provides a safe learning environment and demonstrates an appreciation of what every person brings to a school community. She has most recently worked with her dedicated staff to transform their school into a "No Place for Hate" community and has successfully implemented Social Emotional Learning and Bullying Prevention Program school wide with the support of AISD and partnership with Committee for Children. In a school of approximately 1,000 students, the success of these great initiatives are not possible without the commitment and participation of the entire Blazier community.
